Christopher M. Bellapianta is the Managing Principal of Camber Real Estate Partners and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s operations, including financial, investment and partnership activities. Chris is focused on sourcing, structuring and capitalizing investments for the firm including special situation debt and equity opportunities.
Prior to co-founding Camber Real Estate Partners, Chris was a Managing Director and Principal at Advance Realty where he led all acquisition and finance activities, acquiring over 3.1 million square feet and closing transactions with a total capitalization exceeding $750 million. Prior to joining Advance, Chris served as Director of Acquisitions at Madison Capital, where he was part of a team that acquired performing and non-performing senior and subordinate debt on transactions with a total capitalization exceeding $425 million.
Previously, Chris oversaw portfolio-level underwriting and financing activities for Antares Investment Partners and served as Acquisitions Director for Atherton Newport Investments, where he was responsible for principal investments in East Coast Markets. He began his career at Cushman & Wakefield, where he sourced, negotiated and closed leasing and sales transactions, primarily in New York City.
Chris is actively involved with several charitable, educational, civic and industry organizations. He resides in Montclair, New Jersey with his family. Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Hobart College. He also holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Chris is an avid skier and thoroughly enjoys cooking and music.
Dave C. Surti Principal
As Principal of Camber Real Estate Partners, Dave C. Surti is responsible for overseeing the underwriting, due diligence, closing and asset management of the firm’s investments.
Prior to co-founding Camber Real Estate Partners, Dave was a Director at Advance Realty where he was integral in the execution of the firm’s acquisitions and capital markets transactions, and in facilitating asset management efforts. Prior to Advance, Dave was with AREA Property Partners, LP, now a subsidiary of ARES Capital Management. There, he was responsible for portfolio-level analyses and investor relations for the firm’s opportunistic and value-add investment vehicles. These vehicles comprised $3.6 billion in equity capital invested on behalf of pension funds, university endowments, sovereign wealth funds and high-net-worth individuals.
Dave began his real estate career at NorthMarq Capital, LLC, where he executed on more than $1.0 billion in debt and equity transactions for commercial real estate assets. Previously, he served as a business technology analyst for Street Solutions, Inc., where he was involved in the development of residential mortgage-backed securities software solutions.
Dave graduated cum laude from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Dave resides in West Orange, New Jersey with his wife and three sons.
